Coaching At Meadowvale
The coaching part of the
survey was divided up into three parts:
Teaching
- 88.5 % rated the Teaching skills of Meadowvale coaches as above average.
Organization -
This again was very positive with 90.0 % of
the survey respondents indicating that Meadowvale's coaches were above
average in their organization skills.
Leadership -
This is where Meadowvale coaches excelled:
95.5 % of survey respondents thought that the Leadership skills of
Meadowvale’s coaches were above average.
Conclusions
Overall, the participation and feedback from
the survey was overwhelmingly positive. It did not matter which division
you were in or at which skill level. We received a balanced return rate
resulting in a good cross reference. As a whole, survey respondents felt
that 97.8 % of Meadowvale coaches were at or above average with an
overall satisfaction rate with Meadowvale of 96.4 %. This is a
fantastic news considering that Meadowvale is the largest association in
Mississauga, and all of our Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Trainers,
Managers and Board Members are volunteers. Common concerns about
Meadowvale's policies and procedures have been added to our FAQ web
page.

Wrap Up
Have any constructive ideas on how things
can be improved? Would you like to get involved? Don’t have the time!
Then think of all the hours that your coaches, staff members, board of
directors put in each season. All of these hours are volunteered. No one
receives any compensation for travel expense, meal allowances, free
enrollment, etc. All time and expenses are volunteered to make your
hockey experience better.
Meadowvale is always looking for volunteers. You can help out by being a
Head Coach, applications are available each season just after the New
Year on the web site. Or if you are interested in helping out on a team
please contact the Head Coach to offer your services. Meadowvale does
provide reimbursement for all training costs.
The Meadowvale Board is always looking for eager volunteers to help out.
The time to get involved is at the AGM held at the end of the season.
This year’s AGM is April 30; details will be on the web site soon. Just
sent an e-mail to the President
president@meadowvalehockey.com
asking that your name be added to the ballot for the Board of Director
election at the AGM.
So why not get involved? |
