If you will be coaching
your own child (or a spouse or relative’s
child), please note: It is recommended that you
choose to coach at a level where your child will
be among the top 50% of players on the team.
This tends to maximize the experience for the
child, and minimize the discontent that often
surfaces when the child of the coach is near the
bottom of the team’s skill pool. It is the
MMHA’s policy to place the most qualified
coaches available with the highest level teams. |

Gold & A teams must have
one Team Official qualified in the Hockey Canada
Training Program (HTCP). To cover those
situations where a Team's Trainer is new to the
MHL, the effective date for such certification
will be the day following the date of the Final
Convening Meeting in each Season. (i.e.: The
first Monday of November). It is strongly
recommended that all other teams have a
certified Trainer registered to the team staff.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Note that the Head Coach
and Trainer can not be the same person. Also an
Arena pass will not be granted to a Trainer
without a valid HTCP number. |
